Former coworker did 5 years at airgas. Said it was micromanagement city. But he wasn't a very motivated guy so who knows. 25/hr for 1yr hazmat tanker xp sucks though. 5 day week and rush hour start time seems like fun.

Sounds like restaurant service swapping out CO2 tanks. If it is like what I delivered doing P&D it's not exactly fun. Those 5' tall by 3' around cylinders on tiny casters suck to unload off a liftgate and try and cram into a restaurant.

You'll be filling the truck with CO2 at the terminal and then filling the CO2 tank at restaurants, convenience stores, bars, and any other place that uses CO2 in conjunction with food and beverage preparation and service. You may also have to swap out some cylinders from time to time.

As long as people want to eat and drink I reckon it'll stay busy.

When comparing vs amerigas, if given a choice between the two which would you go with. Make no mistake amerigas is physical also. We fill cylinders, take them from customer racks, roll them to the lift gate and strap them in the truck. Bulk or spraying on-site I wouldn't say is too bad far easier than delivering cylinders. 1$ .50cent pay cut unless they'd match

Makes sense. Both seem stable to a point. I'd be taking a 1.50 cent pay cut if they offered it to me unless negotiate to match or a little more. I'm not sure how much you know about amerigas but given both offers which one you go with personally

The CO2 job will be less physical and less seasonal than the Americas cylinder job.

So you reckon although initially less pay but a closer drive if having to choose one you'd go with airgas if you got an offer from them. And your hourly (OT) will Maybe be more consistent year round than AMG. Currently we just do our 8. Drive here is 38-40 min (without highway) other job airgas would be maybe 20 or so at most I believe

I would rather drag a hose than sling cylinders all day, especially if it's a closer drive to my house.
