How screwed am I?

Well you know you better than anyone so if you think you don't need the CPAP then go see another doctor for your physical and get a second opinion. You are allowed a second opinion.

The medical questionnaire will ask you questions regarding sleep habits and sleep apnea. You can download the form from most state websites and review the questions. The 90 day med card was filled with the registry but the sleepy study I don't think gets filed.

Be sure to communicate with the new doctor about how much progress you've made and that your get good sleep without any assistance. He will make a determination. Try to avoid clinics if you can. Hope this helps.

 

I wasn't aware you hired on to a new company. If they ask about the CPAP usage then advise them your former company did not send the machine to you and that you've improved your health, no longer needing the machine. However you want to word it, maybe you never needed it in the first place.
If it were me, I'd get out from under your current medical ASAP and not wait..find a legit medical doctor that has good reviews. That's about the best advice I can offer.

 

As long as your 2nd opinion physician is aware of the previous physical's outcome; they can process a physical and send it in for you and the sleep apnea will be history as long as you continue to improve your health.

 

I’m willing to bet, you’ll get sent to another sleep study and start the process over, because of your history.

I’m on a CPAP and love it. Solid sleep, every night, the last 5yrs.

 

I'd stay on Crete's arse. Send me the machine, or the refund.

 

The sleep test is very flawed, i had a home test 3 years ago and they sent me a nose ONLY test so when i would breath through my mouth the machine was reading that i stopped breathing when i was just mouth breathing. Now i'm stuck on this thing for LIFE? Even on vacation i have to haul this thing with me. I don't snore i don't wake up with headaches, if anything i get worse sleep with a plastic mask on my face. Advise on how to get off this life sentance PLEASE!!

 

Go to a chiropractor, they do DOT medical cards, you do have the right to a second opinion,
