Here is what could happen, because this entire system is screwed up thanks to inaction of the FMCSA/UD DOT, if … just if there is a shift to hourly, you as a driver will be limited to 40 hours and relay driving will increase to prevent overtime.
drivers who wish for these changes will get screwed over even more.
the best thing to have happen is some of what Duffy has said they are going to look into and strict enforcement of the regulations to stop crap drivers and owners from dominating this industry and keeping rates and wages down.

No, the change in the tax on overtime will have almost no detectible affect on trucking. It's just a couple of people in trucking media's passionate topic until the next passionate topic takes over satellite radio or trucking magazines. -

truckers are exempt from many things....O/T is one of them, unless you are hourly paid (i believe)
