That's another endorsement you'll need, in addition to the others.
Passenger and/or school bus endorsements, is mandatory to drive large commercial vehicles, including school buses and passenger buses.

Yeah, the skills for success program offers the P/S endorsement as well.

Dare I ask -- to what part of Alabama are you referring?

Better yet -- what's a good zip code?

Bank as much as you can out of your present salary, don’t try for a cdl, you will take a huge pay cut, right now starting salary is about $45k, which is what is right for new drivers.

He can do much better than $45K as a new driver, unless he goes with Western Express or Schneider.

It’s a statewide program that just came online to help working adults get certified in different things. Check it out Skills For Success - ACCS INNOVATION CENTER

Use it or lose it. Everything atrophies without use.

    "Problem".....or program?

I suggested a zip code....because....depending on where in Alabama you live -- you may (or may not) be close to a carrier that hires/trains CDL rookies....

    :dontknow:

I’m in the Montgomery area. I wouldn’t be going to work with my CDL. It would strictly be a back up plan if I’m ever laid off.
