Account Transfer

Hi,

I’ve been driving with Schneider base out of Oregon OC for 2 months now since I got my CDL. Everything is good, making about 1.3k weekly which is not bad for me as a new driver. My DTL is very supportive, polite and respectful.

My problem is about home time. I don’t mind working hard but one thing I really hate is doing 34 reset in the middle of nowhere. I mean, at least if I’m not going to make any money just let me sit with my family.

I’ve been told I can transfer to another account that has more home time later. Then I saw Target account on company website, running around Pacific Northwest region, ( do not need to go down to CA which is the most second thing I hate about this job LoL ), decent pay and can be at home every weekends + any time you do 10 hours reset in Portland.

So I tried to apply/transfer for that account but recruiter told me that you can only transfer on to account that show on your Compass and this gig doesn’t show on my Compass.

1. Why???
2. Can I quit and apply again on that account since they are not allowed me to transfer, How long its gonna take to get re-hired to Schneider after you quit?
3. JB Hunt also offer the same account with a little better pay rate ( but I don’t want to quit Schneider too soon since they treated me well ).

I talked to the recruiter and she said I’m eligible to transfer to any account but the account I can transfer to has to be only on my Compass. I just curious, why.

I solo out since May 1st

I made around 1.1k, sometimes 1.2k 1.0k 1.2k

also 990 once or twice but last paycheck raise up to 1.375k and my account has pretty consistent miles. So I think that’s gonna be my average pay from now on.

 

That’s exactly my current account, the paper mill one.

When I was talking to the recruiter about transferring my account, she offered me the intermodal one. But I need to work from 16:00-3:00 which is not a good idea since I need to leave home 2 hours early just to get through traffic to get inside the truck.
