Spotted in Wichita. Wylie gets the fancy “heavy haul” trucks. Stainless fenders, apu, factory ramps. I guess it wasn’t in the budget for our glass trucks. Can anyone spot the dot violation on the rear? IMG_8248.jpeg IMG_8249.jpeg

Ding ding ding! There are mounts for removable flaps so maybe he took them off and left them with his trailer. I sometimes do that and forget to put them back on.

I’m almost positive with full fenders you don’t need flaps

If they come down far enough. I think it’s something like 12” from the ground. Those Wylie trucks are useless as a 4 axle. They have 20k pusher but they are only running 13k worth of rubber. And the trailers they have the neck is too short. So whoever is specing them is clueless

I’ve never seen a wylie truck pulling loads that would require a tag axle on the truck..

Still need the reflective pieces where the flaps would be though.

I can’t believe I’m defending Wylie. They have at least a few brand new three axle trail king trailers with flip necks. I’ve see two in the wild. They also have absorbed Bulldog Highway Express so they have up to 13 axle setups. Mainly for the wind energy stuff. At least they did when they took them over about two years ago.
