Well boys, it looks like old Obammer needs to pass his water in a jug about once a month. Hey- I don't trust him either. I'm waitin' until his big wife catches him with some office chick and it all breaks out on the TV. I sure hope I'm someplace where I can see the news if they have to sack to cover it which I don't know. The news seems to really lack him except Fox and Rush and them. He sure does think he can calm the Iraneans down with a smile. He talks wind but that will not drop fuel and his stimulation is not making more freight move. The medicine thing could be good for some though.

Now, back to trucking. (Who cares about Obami anyways)

I don't have a satelite tracking divise attatched to my truck because I don't need or want someone knowing where I'm at. I have a cell phone. If they need to know, they can call me. Or I will call them.

One thing the newbies just can't seem to get a grasp on, And I have been called an outlaws for doing this. When I drive, I drive til I get tired. Whether it's 5 hours or 25 hours. When I get sleepy, I go to sleep. When I'm not, I'm rolling. I don't need a log book or a qual-com to tell me when it's time to pull over. I'm not that dumb.

And before you start saying anything, just think about that. When I get sleepy, I go to sleep. How much safer can one person be. And I didn't need a frigging law, qual-com or a dispatcher to tell me to do just that.

The old man that tought me to drive, has been working by his own judgement of over 30 years. And I have never seen one crashed car, truck or dead body behind him.

Thats how i run, sleep when tired 95% of the time at night and drive when refreshed and i've never had an hours of service violation i dont need a piece of paper to tell me when to sleep my body tells me when, dont believe in qualcom or any other device that can track me and when and if they mandate it you will not see it on my truck if the way i run makes me an outlaw than i'am happy to be one.

When I got rid of CR England, I hired onto a company that let me run the way I wanted to. It wasn't long, I was running more miles and making more money than I had ever dreamed. They could tell I was a runner, so they put me on the "triangle"...

We'd start out in Dallas on Sunday morning. Be in Ontario California monday morning. Head up to barstow to another terminal, where they had me a preloaded trailer. I laid down, got some good sleep. Then leave out that night or early the next morning. Thurday, from noon to about 3pm, I was in Philidelphia. I'd leave there, and head upto Jersey and go to sleep from 10pm to midnight. When my preload was ready, I leave out for Dallas. Saturday morning, I was sitting at my home in east Texes. A day off for sleep, taking the kids out to the movies and dinner and getting the truck ready to go for in the morning. Then do it all again.

I'd do that three trips in a row. Then take a week off. That's about 5700 miles in 6 days. That sounds like alot. But figure this.
    5700 # 63mph average is 90.5 driving hours.
    There's 189 hours in a week.
It's also going to take about 1040 gallons of fuel. So if your rig get about 1200 miles per fill up, means your going to have to fill up 4 times.
So 4 fill up, 4 showers at about 1.5 hours each. puts you at needing 100 (adding a few for delays at the fuel island or waiting for a shower) hours to drive, shower and eat.

You still have 89 hours to sleep.... That's alot of friggin sleep.

Looks good on paper. Yet in the real world 63 mph avg. when that includes CA/Jersey ect. won't fly. I'm not saying you can't do this.(5700 miles 6 days) You did correct the sleep number to 68 hrs. but, when you figure in eating time, ect. that 9 hrs per day soon becomes 6 or less. You could do this time and time again with no problems. Then one day some 4 wheeler crosses the center line and hits you head on. Do you think your time line will stand up in a court of law? Because if it won't you should not have been it that place at that time. Then more laws get passed. Years ago I also did what it took to make a run. Don't try and fool folks with that time line because you and I know it can't be done legal.
