If you do get an inspection, remember to stay on-duty while it is done. When DOT audits your company's files they will look to see the driver was on-duty at the official date/time of the inspection.

I don’t agree with that as much as we cannot change it. They’re the ones working, not the driver. As far as I’m concerned the driver should be on off time.

Current company tells us they do not have Pre Pass as they want the inspections. Their view is good inspections produce good CSA scores. That in turn leads to more freight.

Wow, I'm not sure you really want what you're asking, volunteering for full level 1 inspections, folks will think you've gone mad LOL :). Maybe the boss could step up and take a few for the team if he's so adamant, no need to volunteer risking your CDL on a new company SAFER. All The Best

If you want an inspection, all you gotta do is go to Ohio. You can park at the rest area and they'll wake you up!

####... It's that bad in Ohio? Funny that I haven't gotten an inspection yet.

If the company is telling you to get an inspection at a weigh station, find another company to work work for.

This company based in Chicago? Any chance it’s run by Russians, or similar?

Freymiller based out of Oklahoma City

I'm theory well maintained and proper pre and post trip inspections lead to safe trucks with nothing to fear at weigh station.

6 months and 52,xxx miles at Western Express pre pass only failed me 2 to 3 times. Those were a simple roll across the scale and continue my journey. Western's CSA is a couple points worse than average.

Freymiller 3 days and 1300 miles I can't say much yet good or bad. The truck rides much much better and has almost twice the miles.

    Chinatown and bryan21384 Thank this.
