Up here in Hartford, WI. Don't get up to Wisconsin very often, especially after we stopped picking up cheese for Boar's Head. Can't remember the last time I crossed the Illinois/Wisconsin state line, but it's been a while.
Delivering the paper roll stock I picked up the other day. After this, heading to Kenosha, WI to pick up a load of Rust-O-Leum, which delivers anytime between now and midnight Wednesday. Good thing I have some extra time on this load, because I noticed a patch of zero tread depth on one of the trailer tires when I went back to slide the tandems. And some of the belt is visible. Must've been on the bottom of the tire when I did the pre-trip and when I slid the tandems at the shipper, because I didn't notice it either time.
So I'll pick up the freight in Kenosha and then get the tire replaced on the way to Columbus and deliver the freight to Wally World tomorrow.

Turns out my whole master bathroom and bedroom need completely gutted due to all the water and mold damage and the carpet ripped up all the way down my hallway to the kitchen and the carpet in the one spare bedroom along with about a couple feet of the walls cut out too in the spare room. Adjuster says it will be all covered so getting a remodel for the price of my deductible. Dropped my jeep off yesterday at the dealer for recalls to be fixed with the clutch and steering and mopar sent a wrong part so ended up with a loaner to drive thankfully til today. Coming back out tomorrow, driving my jeep down and parking it on the wytheville yard and will park the truck there now on. Got an ezpass transponder to run the WV turnpike as it is much faster than taking 19 all the way around the toll booths. Only 27.50 a year unlimited use in WV.

Picking up here in Chillicothe, at a tiny little warehouse that lies across the street from houses and street parking. Always an exciting time trying to comply with Rule #1 of Trucking.

Had to push out my return til tomorrow. Picked up my jeep at the dealer yesterday and got halfway home when the clutch went to the floor and stayed for bit. Went back this morning and easy fix thankfully.

Made it to Wytheville, no load assignment yet though. Had one of them foreign drivers ride inches off the back bumper of my jeep through the last tunnel coming down 77 into Va, was a little worried especially how he whipped out into the other lane after the tunnel. I don’t go faster than 3 mph over the limit, and the limit is 55 through the tunnels. I honestly see no reason to drive aggressively unless it is a true emergency.

Fourth trailer tire blowout here in the calendar year of 2025. Currently parked at a rest area in between Memphis and Jackson while the mechanic replaces it with a new one.

They originally had an ikea load for me from danville to joliet then changed it to a load of paper rolls to Louisville cuz they said my truck was due for an A service and it was easier to send me to Columbus to have it done. Guess they are starting to do all required services that are normal now. Hate this place in Louisville, pain with all the impatient traffic on the street while trying to back in to the docks.
Friend, Knucklehead and Finfn1372 Thank this. -
Load I'm on delivers to Shreveport tomorrow. They asked me if I wanted to go to Shreveport. My first thought was "Why wouldn't I?"
As long-time readers of this thread know, Shreveport is my hometown. It's not where I live currently. I haven't lived there for 30 years, in fact. But it's where my heart will always be.
So I said "Sure".
This is the 2nd time they've asked me that question. The first time was last week, and I had to decline because it would've conflicted with my DOT physical. Apparently it's a new lane we have. So I guess I can look forward to more trips back home.
Currently pitched up at the Petro in North Little Rock.Finfn1372, jarhead0311 and Knucklehead Thank this.
