So I purchased this 2020 t680 kenworth that had 446k miles on it 18k hours ix15 cummins anniversary addition. I've ran it for only 2 months and I get a derate nearly every week or every 2 weeks. I've already invested $15k so far in to the repairs and 9 different kenworth dealers and 4 independant dealers and after replacing the egr valve which was the last derate code ALL because of the dpf. Again. 2 days later derating and I drive nights and stay in the middle us area. I dont touch the coasts no more. Not worth the head ache for me. Should I delete it. I've been running across quite a bit of O/O who have there's deleted and have 0 complaints.

The hours / miles comparison wasn’t a concern? Not surprised the emission system is shot with a 24mph average.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Just curious why did you buy it? Sold my 389 two months ago with 550k miles... a hair over 11k hours....

    Siinman Thanks this.

Had a lot of other new parts replaced on it including all new tires, air compressor new hoses etc. $53k seemed not to bad. Inspections came clean and it ran with a 50 truck fleet company only 3 drivers. It seemed like not a bad deal. Only issues is the danm dpf

With that many hours regardless of the low mileage a rebuild is knocking on your door...

Best of luck boss was just curious...

Whow, that truck sure idled a lot. Even with 9000 hours (1/2) the idle time would have been more reasonable on the motor.
