I wonder what they will charge the driver of the Cadillac with. It will be interesting to learn what they do if and when they do find the vehicle and driver. I hope the trucker was alright.

I bet they'll catch him. Nowadays there's no hiding. That car is on probably a dozen cameras leading to and from that spot, and his cell phone will be found to have pinged off the tower that services that area when they pull the records.

Hold your lane!!! I know it is hard, but one of the first thing that an old truck driver "drilled " into me years ago, , "run the other sob off the road, don't let him run you off".

I agree in principle, but running into the ditch probably saved that idiot Cadillac driver's life. I can understand the driver not wanting that on his hands no matter how much the other guy may have been asking for it, which he definitely was. If there was another lane on the blindside and therefore perhaps another vehicle there...then that would change everything. Then you don't have a choice but maintain your lane.

While i see what your saying i disagree in this specific case. Guy did an illegal pass. Dodgeing rolled the truck which means as far as insurance is concerned its now on the driver. It put his OWN life in extreme danger and dont forget we drivers have familys friends and lives outside our rig too and just driving a truck doesnt make US any less valuable. Not to mention that dodgeing could EASILY have caused him to lose control into oncoming traffic instead and esentially headon an innocent car or potentially cause a fatal pileup.

Holding his lane and braking hard was the correct and overall safest choice here. It could have killed the car driver sure. But his dodgeing could have killed someone else including himself. Also notice the driveways. He could potentially have lost control into one of those homes.

No matter how you slice it this driver got lucky. The worst that happened is a rollover and some bruses. But it could have VERY easily gone worse.

All good points. I wish people wouldn't do stuff like that to begin with.
