I'm not a "Broker Transparency" supporter but, we've known this has been going on for decades with companies that lease on O/O's. Forget Super Ego, the Megas do the same thing. My shock is the amount of money being skimmed off the top. $1300 on one load and there was another load that was like $1500. So, point is, I'm thinking these brokers are doing the same dollar amount, not the $200-$300 a load they claim. Why wouldn't they. If anything, it's easier for a broker because there is no "Truth In Leasing" regulation like there is for Super Ego to have to show documentation, even if it was altered. The Broker can just say nope. Now with that said, I notice the Defendant said, "I would not have agreed to take the load for $3500 had I known the shipper paid $4800" That's the STUPIDITY that we have now who call themselves business owners.

SuperEgo sued for fraud, you don't say..hopefully they'll get sued to extinction if that's what it takes, throw away the company and their drivers..they both suck and have no business being on the road. It's just the truth folks.

It's fine to have principles and limits on how much you think the company's services are worth. If they're taking $200 and you're happy that their service is so cheap you're not going to be happy at all to find out their service actually costs 7x that.

Besides SuperEgo there are others using the same scheme on surviving in the Trucking Industry. It's extremely unfortunate though for the drivers and O/o's who are caught up in this or have in the past. It just shines the light on the reality of Trucking and what occurs in hard times and in some cases all the time.

Just curious if you are a company driver, owner operator, or independent?

And yes, this has been going on for a long time. And I wouldn't expect anything less from Super Ego

Why do people running spot freight allow the carrier to negotiate the rate with the broker?
If the driver can't talk with the broker on the rate move to where you can do that.

Negotiation might be easier with a native English speaker. Though now that I think about it isn't Super Ego one of those Eastern European run companies?
