Kind of a serious Red Green. I learned the ropes from guys like this. Sadly, when they died, nobody replaced them.
To be clear MOM raised the 4 kids, while he sat in his Aerodyne cabover, the best there was, for the time, by the way. I basically did the same thing. It's okay, back then it was true love, and mom knew he wasn't screwing around. Probably lived well thanks to him. Remember, it was a couple hugs, and pa took off for 2 weeks, or more, and no social media, a pay phone was all you got and long distance cost a fortune then. No, thankfully, we've moved on from this, it was a rough life, solely dependent on your ambition. Nobody told you what to do, you were on your own. With as electronically intertwined as our society is, I don't think one could live like this today. I'm sure this guy is pushing daisies by now, RIP pal.Last edited: Jul 28, 2025 at 4:15 AM
