Often wonder about that, most of the trucks I see with flat tires and maxi’s hanging always give me the “huh” look when I show them my CB mic. Can’t give them a heads up if they can’t communicate while rolling down the road…

My truck was set at 68 mph when I bought it,had them set it at 75.So I don't see that problem much anymore.
I stay west of the Mississippi, run north and south.
If I do get behind 2 slow trucks I'll just stay in the right lane until the left lane clears, then go by both of them.

I believe the term is "Elephant Races", and it's not the trucks fault. Heck, we had 238 Detroits, that started the pass okay, but ran out of steam halfway. Difference was, we were drivers, and realized someone was attempting a pass, and in the name of safety and courteousness, we , the truck being passed, backed out of it, and was just a more civil time. Today, you have schmoes on a strict time schedule, that set the speed control, and couldn't care less about anyone else. Don't have to, there's no interaction anyway. While technically not illegal, ironically, changing lanes is far more dangerous, so I suppose, unless the shoulder permits, have to sit tight.

This is the modern era now. You need to stop in the middle of the road and roll down the window like the idiots of the world do.

When you “train” folks to drive 99.9%of the time on cruise control this is what you get.

    Yeah, I'd often do a "play-by-play":
"Looks like Roadway is ahead my a wheel......now JB Hunt is making a comeback....Oh, no, the grade has increased and JB is losing ground to Roadway......now I think Roadway's union steward has told him to back off, because JB's now gained a half-trailer length.....JB takes the downhill hitting the governor hard, while Roadway struggles to keep those wiggle-wagons in check....and......JB IS THE WINNER!!!!!!!"

Ours are all 450 HP, but you need every bit of that to offset the performance losses from all the extra back pressure due to emissions crap and the more restrictive turbos now.
