Hey guys I really want to get my Class A CDL but i don’t know what’s the best option. I recently applied to go to school at Roadmaster in Conley,GA and I got a pre hire offer from Werner but I did my research on them and the reviews was horrible and they are very recent too so I turned that down. I was thinking about going through the state to get free CDL training but it’s taking too long for anything to happen with that. Would it be smart to go through a company to get my CDL and get paid while in training or no? Thank you in advanced .

If you really want to drive a truck, you can't be too choosy starting out.

Any of the starter companies have tons of bad reviews. Drivers who are happy where they are don't post on a complaint forum.

There is no driver shortage. There are lots of experienced drivers looking for jobs.

To answer your question, the fastest route to a cdl for you will be company sponsored training. You will owe them a fixed amount of time after you complete training. You will also be driving with a trainer for anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on who you work for.

Free training through the state is good, but then you have a cdl and have to struggle to find a job.

    Good luck!
