The corporate office in canton,oh leave the pay plans up to the terminal managers cause each area could have very different profitability. With that said I think it still has to be approved by the head hulios.
YRC is in some bad shape, I see your point clearly and hope we dont get like that. I think thats why their are six seperate divisions within the group to hold things like that a bay.

Good Luck...I hope it all works out for you. Keeps us informed..

I am a little disappointed that I did not get on with them as it would have been a new & exciting area of trucking to get into and I was kinda looking forward to a driving job that required something other than holding the wheel, I guess thats why I liked flatbed so much.

I was talking to one of the Chevron drivers under the rack who are all losing their jobs as of today up here. He said it took him a full month to qualify with KAG. It sounds like you can not take it personnally when they
    are processing your application.

Nothing personal here, I just seem to be running out of time the company I worked for shut down feb 23rd with out any notice. I picked up a gig running containers for now but I don't make much doing it, it seems like every week something breaks down, I've been getting by but feel I may have to go back to an old company just to save myself from going under. Once I'm there I may be stuck for a while because I wouldn't want to leave cause I would have no safety net to fall on, they'll let me come back once but if I were to leave and a fuel gig didn't work out I would be screwed. I will make decent money and should have decent over time, but not sure what I will do, I'm suppose to call kag and my old employer back on Monday.

six weeks for me before I went for the official job offer.
The people in canton checked everything possible and even made me write a story about a time I worked on a farm that showed as a gap in employement then get it notarized and send it to them.
Once you pass the background your file is sent to whatever terminal you would be working out of. So I would call the term to make sure your file isnt just sitting their waiting for someone to look at it.

Armadillo, claredog1 and Sacred Feline Thank this.

I have been their going on five years. my start time is five a.m., and the pay and work schedules are different for almost every terminal.
My pay working out of toledo is 18.00 per hour for drive time,13.50 to load,13.50 to unload ,16.00 for pre and post trip, and 16.00 per hour for downtime.
About 12 to 13 hundred for five days,on the six day we get an extra 33% for the day that make it around 15 to 16 hundred for the week.
Alot of the other divisions like Kenan and Klemm pay better
Well I think I spilled all my beans,Oh I work sunday thru thursday.

claredog1 and Sacred Feline Thank this.
