Where are you sitting at?Sometimes you end up where there is little freight going out.I take decent paying loads to South Dakota,North Dakota,Idaho, sometimes get a load out but I usaully just deadhead out for another load.
Some places have too many trucks in the area so not much left over to get,if they are picking loads off the board for you.
    I wouldn't sit anywhere for 4 days,but I'm an O/O,unless I'm sitting at the house in Houston.

Got sat for 5 days in Cali with a load on me waiting to get unloaded... But that was because the customer had construction going on, they shutdown production so I had to wait... I imagine your situation was different though so it does happen sometimes, if I were you, I'd move on to a different company if that's something that happens often though.

Yes Sir, thank you for your service. You can try switching dispatchers but in this down market even that is risky.. Your best bet is to switch companies. Marten is a good company if they'll take you..I think last time I checked they required 6 months, they are a decent company, one of the best megas which is good for you as it gives you options in different divisions(OTR, Regional, Dedicated, some local).. All The Best!!

Thanks, Hopefully that was a one-time thing, that was the customer's fault btw, not my company, it’s just happened to be that they were doing construction that day, I had another load line-up after that too... It was a Friday, didn't get unloaded until Tuesday afternoon. The guy that was unloading me was the coolest dude though. Do you know I've never drive a Dry Van before? I mean, I have twice, felt weird, but I went into flatbed right after school and now I'm doing Tanker. Honestly, if I leave Tanker and go to Dry Van, I'd be nervous as a little bit, specialty when parking and stuff LOL.

If you're in tankers, better off to stick with it. I thought you were still pulling dry van.
If you ever leave tankers, go to a good reefer outfit.

10/4 they are but also like most megas they are quick to FIRE!!! Follow their policies, no U turns, ETC!! Every company has their unforgivable sins, be sure not the break them. Marten is one of the best megas..for sure..
