Bowling Green is just a mini-Chicago. Only drove for one company around BG when cleaning my record, and it was a childhood friend’s family’s company, so got a bit of an extra fair treatment, but even at that, pay was still mediocre and 1099. For the other drivers, basically the same experience as what you said.

Almost all BG trucking company owning families grew up with each other, being that most are Bosnian refugees that came over at the same time and now all the kids are grown and continuing suit. They all follow the same shady practices, except for a couple reputable W2 options, but their pay is subpar as well.

No offense to you, but I don’t know how they keep trucks filled. At some point, it seems like it’d be better to just hit up JB Hunt, Schneider, Averitt, KLLM, or whatever other megas with regional accounts and just take the stress free 70k/yr route. Not going to be breaking the bank, but won’t be arguing over paychecks and breakdowns either
