There're a few types of strip securement. It's like a gut wrap but different. Here's one type.
It keeps the pipe from sliding forward into your cab when being lowered off of 27% to 45% grades. Any steeper & a track machine walks each pipe down. Anyway, a strip wrapper is wrapped around the bunk & wings at an angle. I feel much better now...
