But those #### bump's which mostly start after you get out of Vicksburg straight through to Jackson then spread south on 55 while continuing east on 20. Good grief. I think I recall where I got whiplash in the neck.JustSonny Thanks this. -
You can get whiplash somewhere other than the neck - Or other spine associated areas?
Buttlash... Ouch.
Don't mind me, I just woke up. >.>JustSonny Thanks this. -
you should see some f the swift trucks with Pets! I don't blame them for the ban. some people can be pigs
-
Thanks for asking. As time permits, I'll post while I'm in school and then when I'm in training. I hope I can get a mentor as soon as I finish at Millington! -

I remember riding on bumpy roads in the school bus as a kid and seeing how high I could bounce when we'd hit a big bump.
Ah, the simple things in life.Ducks, difference-maker, simplyred1962 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Some people can be pigs with or without animals, I've witnessed this first hand, unfortunately.
It just bothers me when the whole gets punished for the actions of the few.
If someone has a pet in their truck, and it's piddling and such, and the interior is a pigsty? Don't allow that person to have pets in the cab anymore (And charge them exactly how much it costs to clean up said disaster area, once that pet has been taken home). If after the pet is gone, the place is still gross due to the driver... send that person to etiquette classes or something.
Some people, myself included, keep their living space exceedingly clean, partially FOR the pet or pets in question, so that they're more comfortable, and a lot less likely to 'Follow mom or dads example', so to speak.
Leave your dirty underwear on the floor and don't clean the litter box? Cat's probably going to think 'Well, it already smells like pee... so, I guess this is my new piddle spot!'
I do realize that pet hair can be an issue, but that can be cut down via brushing, and as for me, personally, I would be willing to pay extra for the vents and such to be cleaned out regularly, before the fur caused any major problems. I know that will be something on my mind if I ever decide to be an o/o.
I just feel there are ways around a complete ban. They give smokers trucks that other smokers have driven, so why not do the same with pets? Seems a bit rude to give someone who doesn't smoke a smokers truck, or someone who doesn't have pets, a truck that's had pets in them and wasn't cleaned properly. What if it was a cat, and the new driver is allergic to them? That could end very, very badly, even if cleaned WELL - And from what I've read, thorough cleaning isn't terribly common when a truck is transferred, at least with a lot of larger companies.
Of course, that would require a little extra work for those assigning trucks, and we can't have that... -

Just a little tip for the pet-owners and pet hair....cheesecloth around the filters. Easily removed and thrown away, then replaced with clean piece.
Saves the filters, and it's not a hazard or illegal in any way.

What... is cheesecloth? I've never even heard of it. Or perhaps I have, but maybe I heard it called something different.
Sounds like a very good idea, though, and that could turn out to be a life saver, so to speak, for those of us who want to have our fuzzy kids ride with us, but aren't too keen on Air Conditioning made entirely of fur.
