After close to 2 years of planning,I finally arrived at tulsa on sun.First day was mostly paper work and info on company.second day we did test drive.Test drive was easier then I expected.First time driving a automatic and a spread axle.We also did a smith test drive. Its just a drive to show you are aware of things around you.Calling out everything you see as you drive, such as driveways, pedestrians ,signs drainage ditches.litteraly everything you see that could affect you.People had told me how horrible the heat would be,but it's not bad at all.low 100s so far.I am use to that from San Diego.I did bring powdered Gatorade.Just put a little in my water bottle, just to give a little flavor.we also started securement training.Just thought I would write this thread to give people a heads-up on what to expect. And as payback for the info I received from the longtime members on here.I try to keep the post short as I have the writing skills of a special needs chimp
Finally at melton

Today was more securement training. We also did close quarter driving training..straight line back,90 deg back and 45.they don't really expect you to ace them but more that you understand them and have the ability to learn

Get your twic. If you don't have it, you'll be going to the ports anyway. They will make you pay extra, stand in line longer, and your escort will be some two-digit IQ airport security reject who thinks the little amber light on his yard hoopty means he's special forces. I never got around to getting mine and let me tell you that is the first thing on the itinerary for my next hometime.
