Too many adult beverages have been consumed .......... Can't ya see me typing crooked ?

 

Well......I've figured it out......but it contradicts what we've always been taught.


1 week = 7 days

1 year = 365 days

52 weeks = 1 year


But 7 x 52 = 364.


Somebody else explain this to me.....my brain is tired.

You're almost there! It takes the earth 365 and 1/4 days to orbit the sun. The quarter day gets added in as a leap year. We divide the year into increments of 7 days, which leaves an extra day each year. Ever notice that your birthday is always the next day in the week from one year to the next(and skips a day on leap years)? It does that because of the extra day. E.g., this year my birthday is on a Tuesday, and next year it will be on a Wednesday.

 

The bad part is, they will catch you. They need the money and you are their new piggy bank.

 

Regulations may suck but alot of it is, sadly, needed. Too many low-class a-holes think that adjusting brakes isn't needed. I have seen enough of those guys crying in the last year to fill a stadium. Whoa is me. I got OOS for not having good brakes. NO CRAP!!

 

Anyone who will not crawl under there rig and check brakes or pull in and have it done deserves to get a mountain of tickets. Having owned vehicles with band brakes since I started driving I can tell you they have to be maintained properly to function as they are supposed too.

DOT can and will ticket even a brand new rig for something if they want too. Try not to give those folks alot of ammo to shoot at you and you will get along without too much trouble. There is alot that goes with trucking its too much for some of the steering wheel holders I have seen .
