Maybe Florida can investigate themselves over issuing non domiciled CDL’s. They have given out so many that they are unable to count them..I #### you not :)

Not like I’ve seen more than a couple actual inspections done in state since I started driving.

    Siinman and Numb Thank this.

Yes, a work permit, also known as an Employment Authorization Document (EAD), can be used by a foreign driver to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
. This applies to a non-domiciled CDL, which is issued to individuals who are legally in the U.S. but are not domiciled in that state.

    Oopsie..some inconvenient details :)

“Singh was never called for his immigration hearing and remained in the country.”

Someone clogged up the system :)

Harjinder Singh entered the U.S. through the southern border in California in 2018, where he was caught and detained by Border Patrol agents
. However, instead of being deported, he was released with a pending asylum hearing.
His entry and subsequent release involved the following steps:
    1. Illegal border crossing: Singh crossed the U.S. border from Mexico into California in September 2018.
    2. Apprehension and detention: He was immediately detained by Border Patrol agents after his illegal entry.
    3. Claiming asylum: During the deportation process, Singh claimed he feared returning to his home country, India. This assertion, protected under American immigration law, paused his deportation.
    4. Release on bond: In January 2019, while his asylum case was pending, Singh was released from custody on a $5,000 immigration bond. He was then allowed to return to California.
    5. Immigration hearing backlog: Because of a large backlog of asylum cases, Singh was never called for his immigration hearing and remained in the country.

    Recap..

Since day one he was allowed to stay :)

That I believe you could say he was lawfully allowed to be present in the USA..

So anybody can claim "fear" just to show up here?

Surely there are closer locations to India than the United States to run to out of "fear".

His family said he "left his home country to have a bright future and support his family".
Nothing about running out of fear.

Yeah, and that someone would be Sleepy Joe.........weird how that works, huh? You overwhelm the system and all the sudden you got a bunch of people with their immigration hearings postponed. Wow......it's almost like someone thought of it.

It’s a messed up system for sure.

To apply for asylum they need to enter illegally..illegally meaning show up at a port of entry, not necessarily climbing over a fence. Get arrested, bond out and get lost in the system.
They are even allowed to apply for asylum a year later.

    All protected under our constitution.

Asylum seeking doesn't mean it has to be approved......

You’re absolutely correct. Unfortunately the process can get dragged out for years. Someone with a good immigration attorney ain’t going to be going anywhere soon..
