The construction at 34th & kings hwy almost got me but luckily they put a giant concrete island right there with a crosswalk ramp to drive up.

We had to pull our curtains to the front a few times empty in high wind. If you wrap a couple portable straps around the front you can have everything folded in and tucked in nicely.

I was gonna say probably about 5 years ago i was rollin westbound across i-90 in south dakota and had about 60mph winds with gusts up to 80mph. I was fully loaded on my flatbed so i kept it rolling, saw a conestoga rolling the other way that had it all tied up at the front with a ratchet strap to keep it out of the wind. He was loaded but looked pretty light. Nice to see a driver that could think for himself for once

I pulled a curtain van for a few months and didn’t really care for it. The worst was running empty from Great Falls to Missoula or empty from Bozeman down to Lovell.

Ya I hate pulling them. I thought they were a great idea until I had to occasionally pull one. Mostly I pull a flatbed and tarp it, but sometimes I end up with a tarp side.

Some electrical load from Siemens, sure what it is. Pain in the ### tarp job. But at least I got new tarps today and they are black. Goes from Laredo to NE Kansas.

These new tarps are black and I like that but honestly they are the same concept as my last 3 big+2 small tarp set, no flaps. And these are smaller! 18x24. So in other words more of a pain in the ### to tarp a 53' load. All 5 tarps guaranteed on every 53' load.

Found this pic from 2018, no cross chains but I did have a headboard. Only had to go about 15 miles with each load. Ran a “divisible load overweight permit” on the tractor so I could gross between 102k and 105k depending on which trailer I had. This load was probably 60k IMG_1572.png
