Just think, American based carriers hiring experienced US Citizens have to compete with this.

Mr. ILLEGAL has free place to live in a truck and dang .20 a mile sure sounds good comparing to where they came from.

    Here's one example.

Foreigners/illegals are drawn to trucking in large part for the free place to live.

Shady carriers are drawn to Foreigners for the cheap labor.
They can get away with whatever ridiculous cheap cents per mile they want.

It's all creates the perfect storm.

If safety and lives truly matter we really do need a National ICE inspection blitz .
ICE agents at all weight stations, pop up inspections set up randomly on US-highways as well. Keep running it at least until arrests calm down to a reasonable level.

Also declare all non-domicile CDLs invalid within a time-frame. 90 days for example.
Require to get keep valid CDL that you must provide correct immigration documents and pass an English test.

The sheer volume of illegals out here and non English speaking drivers warrant this kind of action to be taken.

How many more preventable horrific accidents need to occur before we demand more action taken?

100s of thousands? I still see a super majority white dominated industry. There's a part of me that hopes that every immigrant gets taken out of the industry. Then.....you'll see that all the problems in trucking that we blame immigrants for will still exist on a high level...piss poor training, distracted driving, SPEED, flip flops, blocking fuel islands, over-capacity, high fuel, "low pay," poor working conditions, poor freight rates, and most importantly, the root of all the issues in trucking: it's too quickly and easy to get a CDL and go to work in weeks.

You'd think law enforcement would be all over this mess.
It would actually give them something to do.

Nah...you'd go from $2 a mile to $2.15 a mile. Because everyone is going to start buying trucks again thinking rates are going to sky rocket. That $2 may even decrease. I have a hard time believing eliminating every immigrant is going to move the needle considerably.

    D.Tibbitt and Rideandrepair Thank this.
