I haul these for a mill that has four manufacturing locations.
I load untreated posts at one facility that does not have a treatment facility, take them 100 miles west to their mill that has a treatment facility, drop them off, reload a load of treated posts, and deliver them to a dealer, farmer, etc.Kyle G., Walk Among Us, exhausted379 and 11 others Thank this. -

When I unstrap the second strap on each stack, I go very slowly, listen and watch for any movement, and am ready to jump SIDEWAYS (towards the front or rear of the trailer), when the strap is fully loose because if that stack starts to go you’ll never be able to move AWAY from the trailer fast enough.Kyle G., Walk Among Us, exhausted379 and 10 others Thank this. -

I can't remember how old I was, maybe 5th grade, but I still remember coming home from school and going out to feed the sheep every night while Dad was convalescing in a hospital bed in the living room.
From then on he had a set procedure of popping all the binders loose then walking back right alongside the load as he pulled the wrappers off. Never took his eyes off the logs while he was doing it.
BTW - I still think that's a a beautiful Pete.Kyle G., Walk Among Us, Feedman and 11 others Thank this. -

Not nearly as nice as what @Oldman83 drives but I kinda miss looking out over a real hood. Used to drive this one a little bit for a friend.
