In AZ now and driving down I40 a little bit ago. Guy is clearly not from USA driving a semi truck passes me. I am doing 67 in 75 and it turns to 65 as he is passing me. Dude decides to slow down around a curve and turns his blinker on to get back in my lane. He is not even in front of me, cab is just barely past me. I keep cruise control on at 67 then he gets all pissed for some reason. Slows down and gets behind me then proceeds to pass me shortly after. Gives me the bird like it was my fault. Ha ha WTF???? Then decided to try and brake check me two times. I go into the passing lane and pull up next to him and politely return the finger and tell him to pull over. I get in front and put blinker on to pull over and he flies by. Stupid people like that need removed from this country ASAP.

No patience or courtesy out here anymore. I don't think there ever has been any to be honest and I've been driving 25 years. Patience no, never.. courtesy used to be but has disappeared over time. Suppose it has anything to do with foriegn influence? Of the mostly third world kind? Anyways I'm not sure why he's upset other than he thinks you're supposed to slow down and not him? He doesn't have a brake pedal or something. He's faster than you already so more important by default? It's him first not you, didn't you get the memo?

Courtesy goes both ways. I won't lie, I'm always in a hurry. I run as fast as legal when it's safe to do so

If you're behind a truck that's going a mile an hour slower than you, and you look in the mirrors to see about passing.

But you see vehicles coming in the left lane that are obviously going quite a bit faster, yet you still pull out and make everyone else slow down, so you don't have to.

You're a jack ash. I see this from everybody, but especially LTL and foreign drivers.

Then the closed curtain guys. They pull the curtain forward to cover their face, cause they know everybody is givin em the finger over their #### driving.

And with the adaptive cruise they jump out in the left lane when they’re 1/4 mile away from the other truck so their cruise doesn’t kick off. Then you end up with cars doing the weave between the two trucks because they’re barely making progress in the left lane.

I never knew why, but that makes sense. I'll pass some on the right with three truck lengths room

A lot of the just got here's just put her in the left lane and stay there for ten hours or until they get pulled over.
Or you have two of them side by side for about 30 miles creating the biggest mess you ever saw and they are totally oblivious or they could care less.

Why didn't you just ignore being told you're "number 1" and keep doing your thing?

I've never understood why guys feel the need to escalate things. Dude's acting the fool? Back off and let him "win".

Not everything can be blamed on immigration. The lack of patience and courtesy correlates most closely to consumer culture. Consumerism promotes the idea that happiness can be bought. If a driver can save 3 minutes by being a jerk, he'll do it because in his mind, those 3 minutes will be able to 'buy' him more happiness.

"In a consumer culture, “enough” is an ever-receding goal. Excess is normalized. It encourages always needing the new and more. We are blinded by ‘stuff’. “The Lord comes, but you prefer to follow the longing you feel; your brother knocks at your door, but he is a nuisance to you because he upsets your plans — and this is the attitude of consumerism.” - Pope Francis

Because I was taught to not let people push me and get over on me. I was brought up by a single father that fought in WW2 and did 25 years in the Navy. We were taught at a young age to never let anyone disrespect you and let them get away with it. If more people would be stand up people you would not have this stupid disrespect like everyone does these days. Pretty simple.
