We did our last one of those about two(2) years ago.
I told everyone that I don't know if there's like warnings of a stroke, but I'd rather not have one proving I could still do those.

Not a cycle man nor knowledgeable of them.. But.. For year we serviced forklifts with multiple chain arrangements.
Used inner slide rec by the mfg, stuff you have used in sliding tandems, and 90#W. All did the lube job.
But all, either dripped, or run with temp change depending on thickness applied, and collected debris and dirt.
Having some chains in pretty bad/nasty shape, but not old/no rust, we dropped in a bucket of kerosene to soak out then blew clean. Wah Lah, chains recovered.
We found we could simply brush the chains down with kerosene with an old paint brush and all be good.
It got into the link joint rivets to lube, and prevented rust. Was not a collector of dust/dirt/debris.
Do on a reg PM (100 hrs/30-45 days) , Diesel should work as well.
Would not recommend for a hard ridden daily ride, but it might be what you need for your usage.
Brush it down; heavy or light, depending on where you intend to go.Dale thompson, hope not dumb twucker, austinmike and 8 others Thank this. -
