I assume it’s probably a celect plus engine
If so a n14 celect plus would at least be plug and play from a wiring standpoint….in my opinion the 3406 is a better engine…. But I’m sure others will have different experiences
I went from a m11 to a 3406c full mechanical in a 95 Ford it was pretty easy because the truck was pretty well setup to accommodate other engines. I used all of the sensors that ran the dash and just swapped them to the cat
I had a donor truck for the engine mounts
The biggest issue was the front cross member/engine mount ….only because my donor truck was a normal truck and the one I was fixing was heavy spec
I ended up modifying the original one.
At least a 379 should have plenty of room to work

How about a Twin Turbo 3412?

Had a truck with a 3406 B, just sold it last week, great motor. dad has a 379 with an N14 in it, and it’s a solid motor. I wouldn’t turn up my snoot at either one, an N14 would probably be a little cheaper and faster to put in with the existing wiring harness.

Thank you for the info on the n14 I didn’t know it was plug and play with the l10!
I am a Cat fan so it is my first option, however I am looking for the most affordable way to do it since upgrading to a bigger engine will need many additional parts and wiring I am considering purchasing a wrecked truck same model as mine. So far I found the same model truck with a good Detroit 60 for about 8k.

Thank you for the input you really think the harness from a L10 would fit a N14 so far it is what I am hearing

You have to use the same generation celect to celect
    Celect plus to celect plus
If you try to cross them the oem plug on the ecm will not plug in (wouldn’t work even if it did go together) the other 2 harnesses will stay with the engine
Also are you certain it’s an l10 and not an m11…I was thinking that the l10 was gone by the time celect plus came out

It is a pic I grabbed off the internet, if I had one I'd be shoe horning it into an ole A model!
