    Back about 40 years ago, when I bought my first truck, I would wash it, then it would rain the very next day, so when I would get done for the day, would wash it again, only to see it rain again,o_O. Anyways this would repeat several times. Now, if I know if it’s going to rain…. I just let it be. I’m not that young anymore :p

    That’s “only” an 18” bumper. When I do a different bumper it probably will be an 18/16” taper because (as you know) the ends are always what catches first.
    I’ve straightened that bumper four times. I haven’t kinked it yet, so I’ve always been able to straighten it.
