Tire was perfectly legal as no cords were showing. Know the law.

From a company driver standpoint, if I did the damage to the tire I’d know if it was trashed, probably not & keep running it. If I was assigned this truck, I’d have them change it, most likely both (make a fine trailer tire).

You're opinion is just like a voice on the cb, in one ear and out the other. So, in one eye and out the other

Knowing the law & having common sense are two completely different animals, this particular debate can go on for years & at the end of the day we are the captains of our ships.
Regardless of what anyone says there is not a company that cares more about there driver than the load there hauling, losing a customer takes longer to replace than a human being.
I don't care how many times you go into the office to get a pat on the bum or a atta boy for saving fuel, or calling in 3 times a day just to ask how there day is going.
3in slice in sidewall of a steer tire, air tanks only holding 70psi, adding a gallon of coolant every day, try to only run after dark less chance of DOT to notice anything "JUST RUN IT"......
I could go on for hours some get it & the rest will continue to doordash coffee to dispatch every morning.
