Anyone use the TruckStop fuel card? Seems like maybe it is a new thing? They keep sending me emails about it. Supposedly is basically just like a normal credit card with fuel discounts, they say average of .45 per gallon. They say no fees and all that good stuff. I asked if i could access the app to see if it is worth it before i get the card and rhey said no. Was wondering if it is worth the hassle? Currently I just do mudflap and trucksmarter. Thanks!

Won't touch anything from truck stop with a ten foot pole, but that's just me.

Getting the same emails too. They're pushing that buisness pretty hard. My understanding is its not actually a Truckstop card though it's AtoB. Have to wonder what the catch is

Not allowing you to see the application or the discount locations before commiting is weird. at least With Mudflap or TruckSmarter, you know exactly what the deal is upfront. I'm hesistant if I cant verify the savings for my own lanes first.

Haven't seen much discussion about it from other drivers though sort hard tosay

I feel the exact same way. I am not going to bother if I can't verify the savings. I don't want some card I don't even use. It sounds great in theory. Unless I get to see the app though I will stick with mudflap and trucksmarter. Appreciate your feedback.

For anyone still following this I have a work around for you. You can do a self funded prepaid card for this instead of the credit card. To my knowledge it has all the same benefits but you put money on the card when you need it. Then you can access the app to see fuel discounts in your area. Most of the time they beat mudflap but they don't beat trucksmarter. I just didn't feel like having another useless credit card that I didn't know if I would use so I went with the prepaid, which is basically how I pay for my fuel anyways on trucksmarter and mudflap. Maybe this can help someone out! Have a good one fellas.

I think this thread is dead but I wanted to update for anyone who might find it in the future. The fund it yourself card works great! I can instantly add money for fueling. I have recently started using it because they have had the best discounts. Yesterday I got .48 cents off a gallon. Taking it from 3.48 to 3 flat. At a random maverick that I have been to before but never bought fuel cause it is always high priced. Other thing is I had a issue with one discount not being correct. I contacted their support and they were super professional and took care of it very quickly. I definitely recommend picking it up and if you don't want the credit card get the self funded option. Between this card, trucksmarter and mudflap I can pretty much always get a discount where ever I go.

I quit using my fuel card that I had to prefund. I just never was comfortable with the idea of putting money in their pocket ahead of time. I just use Mudflap now. It always caught me off guard too. I'm pretty responsible with my money but I never remembered to prefund that card enough before I needed it.

I always only fund it literally 2 mins ahead of fueling. I honestly kind of love that lol. Don't have to worry about paying the credit card a month later.

I’ve bounced between a few fuel cards over the years depending on where I was running. None of them are magic, honestly, you win some places, lose others. Lately I’ve been using a Silchuk fuel card alongside my usual options, mostly because it lines up with a lot of the independents I already stop at.

What surprised me was seeing some pretty decent discounts pop up without having to change my route. Not every stop, but enough that it made sense to keep using it. I also didn’t realize they provide over-the-road tire discounts until I actually needed it, which helped soften the blow on a service stop.

At the end of the day, I still keep a couple cards in my wallet, but this one’s earned its place. If you’re trying to tighten things up without overcomplicating your setup, it’s worth a look.
