Do you have one of the kenworths? No crank due to electrical issues with the transmission's computer is a known failure point for them, unfortunately. I've had to have my right hand shift stalk replaced twice. The tow truck guys who came and got me the first time it happened tricked it by bridging the solenoid with a wrench. They were able to get it to start, but it still wouldn't go into drive.

No I have a freight liner.they have a known issue for the neutral starter switch going bad.tech at loves showed me how to disconnect 2 switches in closet and it works.dont understand why but it does.i guess these also have issues with the stalks going out.brought truck in shop yesterday for starter replacement and got it back today..Melton paid for hotel and I get breakdown pay.i think it's 75 a day.better then nothing and more then a lot of companies pay..

One thing about companies like Central Oregon Trucking Co is that they pay for miles driven up to cutoff and not actual deliveries done. Really helps keep weekly pay good.

That is what I have said before. If you drive a total of 2500 miles in a week for example you should be paid for that amount of miles even if you are still under a load. That way you are paid for actual miles that you did in any given week.

That's a historical artifact now.i think I read somewhere that when they bought the company it didn't include the rabbit.thats why it's not still used

Well nothing exciting to update.had a load deliver to perris ca.its about 10 min from my house so I got to spend 24 at home.first time home since I started.wife was going to come on the truck untill hometime for Xmas but she has family issues in Mexico so I will just stay out untill prob feb.our scorecards came out and I am number 2 in fleet and 32 in company .I know it doesn't mean a lot but it reassures me that I am not the bumbling buffoon I feel like sometimes.wasnt sure I should tell y'all but figured your on the journey with me,my glory is your glory.its easier for me to write my failures then my triumphs.i hate sounding like a pompous jerk patting myself on the back.this week I finally broke the 3000 mile barrier.i have had larger checks but it was due to carrying over loads.these were all picked up and delivered in pay period

I still look forwards to your periodic posts about the flatbed life. You're still living the dream, @James j! I hope that wife's family issues iron themselves out soon. Congrats on cracking the 3,000 mile barrier too. How you been liking the winter weather OTR?
