Funny you say Canada, my first ever trip in a semi was in december of 97 to Quebec city after a record ice storm with only about 15,000 pounds on the deck, it separated the men from the boys right away. I'm trying not to be a Richard here, but am perfectly happy that the flip flop wearers stay the f out of this area in the winter, now if we could get Canada to get rid of there new Canadian drivers it would be heaven up here all winter not having to put up with steering wheel holders at every turn.

Thanks for the great info! I took a screenshot to keep handy as a guide.

I'm looking at the same market, and I swore I saw a late 70's/early 80's the other day that said Detroit powered. I didn’t take a closer look and don't remember the particulars, but if I see it again I'll let you know. IIRC it was in the SoCal/AZ area.

I helped dad overhaul one once. I'd rather not go through that again.

There's a long wheelbase '83 K100 down @Oxbow direction but it's Cummins power. Even has a drom deck.

In my opinion, I think an engine with a single cylinder head is just better in the long run, account of being more rigid. I attended an engine school long time ago and they had engine dynos there. The instructors had an 855 on one and at full on pull, the block would twist 5/8” out of plumb from one end to another. Craziest think I ever witnessed.
