Guess it depends on the state where it happened but if they could've given him 1+ Yr in jail/prison that'll get him a denial even if the actual sentence was just a fine/probation.

Its so old that as long as he's had no issues since he could probably get a lawyer to help him get it expunged. Probably won't be cheap though.

Cummins has a liner press like this . Then just use the head bolts to tighten it down. Seemed to work pretty good.. and i got much more consistent readings than the first time around

I will have to ask if he did time.

I had a problem years ago where I had a gun app get flagged. The dealer ran it back through a second time and it was okayed. Never had any issues after.

cke, sawmill, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

I do the same as @Oxbow, but the tool makes going back together easier for sure.

Are you going to cut all holes or just the two?

cke, Feedman, ElmerFudpucker and 3 others Thank this.

My W9 is a 99. Has the 2 shallow cup holders that allow drinks to fly out.

Im just going to do all 6 and replace liners and pistons and be done with it. The people at the rawze forum say its best to set them at the top of the cummins spec which is .014 . The bottom of the spec is .007 and the other 4 are right at .009, so i figure its best just to take the time and do em all. Id prefer not to have to open it up again in 3 months for another head gasket failure

Good call. I've never cut an ISX, but have had quite a few cut for me. I always picked the one with the most fretting to clean up, cut it out, then cut all the others to the same.

That may not be SOP, but I preferred using the same shim in each hole.

Sounds like what I’m driving now, it’s a W9 with 2 piece windshield and shallow cup holders…
