    Makes one think that maybe unloading them and driving in might be easier. I'm sure there is more to the story.

    Seen worse than these, probably something like five miles of public road like that,the width of the dumpers with tyres would be over the road edge plus axle loadings,some mines got the gear in,then coal came out by overland conveyors to rail loading,the roads couldn't handle regular daily use by wagons,one site the road collapsed after the plant came out when site was finished
    Fleets of dumpers and scrapers were regularly 'roaded' in 70/80's, sometimes 100 miles but by the time these were taken more strict regulations
    Seen us driving along,pickup coming opposite way lights flashing driver pointing to opposite kerb, people used to know to pull over,half a dozen ts24's come screaming through,good old days
