To be honest with you, the longer of a break you take between high school and college the harder it is to actually make yourself go back to college. I had several years between school and college. It wasn't easy going back into a classroom environment after that long of a break, lol. The most difficult part was the fact that I was so much older than most of the other students. There really was a disconnect between me and them. They wanted to play and I needed to work and study.
Best thing to do would be to go straight into college, imo. Get your degree and then come trucking. That way you have more options if/when you decide to leave trucking or want to work in the administration of a trucking company.
Having options is soooo important.
