The current insanity of trucks running full speed into a pile of cars & trucks? That's largely a post cellphone development. That's not to say there weren't multi-vehicle pileups, but they were quick and not a 5-10 minute ongoing event.

If only they were 10 minutes now .....more often they are hours long to clean up....

I wasn't talking about clean up time. There's still trucks crashing into those pileups at full speed minutes after the initial incident.

The_vett and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

I'm reminiscent of a time before my own... a time when men wore collared shirts, and often even a brested jacket along with a belt and boots or nice leather shoes. None of this slothful laziness of sweat pants, flip flops, and the like... sadly I doubt those fashions will ever return.

When I started driving trucks back in 1964, (like I said in an earlier post, "I'm Old") Roadway drivers wore uniforms with a neck tie or sometimes a bow tie.
