Yup, thats what ours looked like too. We washed her and used a deck brush to get it out of the cracks and around the rivets. The stiffer bristles seemed to work better. He said when they loaded him, they all were in suits and respirators.
Yeah, lime is a pita, and our truck is black, so you can imagine. LOL
Hubby loaded ground up alfalfa once and the truck and trailer were both green, till we hit MO and the rain started. LOL
That was pretty..................................NOT!
You know, I thought the truck was dirty when he hauled cattle, but honestly, this is much dirtier. And hubby likes a shiny truck, but that just isn't the reality of the situation with what he hauls.![]()

BHW going to tell you that lyons has had loads going to Iowa last few weeks. Seems like the wrong time of year...maybe just stocking up early.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Thats weird. LOL We hauled only one load out of hutch this past year. The rate dropped so bad that they weren't worth it.

I pretty much haul boring stuff in my hopper, but I do have a story I'll share. Back about 10 years ago, the elevator I haul for had some wheat contracted to a flour mill in Springfield, IL (I think its closed now) about 65 miles one way. This was August, and they were having some issues with bugs getting in the wheat, and before you could dump, you parked across the street from the place and a state grain inspector got in the trailer, walked through it and took a sample. After he collected a few trucks, he went in his little office and ran them, and you either passed and got to dump, or got rejected. After a few got rejected, we started going out to the mall or wherever, and take a broom and carefully sweep his tracks out of the wheat, find something to do to kill about 2 1/2 hours, and go back in with that same load. I think at least half the loads passed the 2nd time through!HwyPilot Thanks this. -
Oddest thing I have ever hauler in a hopper? Thats easy! Milo to Abengoa. I find it extremely odd that "I know" its very possible that I might have to wait 2, 3, 6 or 8 hours in line to dump that one load, but yet I keep going back. Some would call that odd. Others might just call it flat stupid LOL.
Got an estimate back on my boo boo, its almost $3K to get her back square -
I vote for flat stupid.
Course I have gone there so I'm in that category too.

Got a few quotes last few days. Most were to feedlots and were either too cheap or too much deadheading. One paid .90 cents a mile one way...guess some dummy will haul it for that.
Supposed to be in high 80's this week. This will help the wheat mature -
$.90 a mile, one way.....you should be all over that!!
Is fuel coming back down in your area? Ours has dropped from a high of $3.29 a couple weeks ago, to $2.99 or $2.93 at the other station in town now.
I am ready for warm weather, although it was nice being out last week and it being just about perfect for sleeping in the bunk.wheathauler Thanks this.
