Um, this could be big if they actually begin to pull it off...

Actually, I could see more work going to the Swifts and Schneider's of the world, and a lot of mid-size and smaller firms getting shut out of Wal-Mart work. Would that be good/bad? Any thoughts?

That's how around here WalMart either put businesses out, or forced them to import from China. They started buying from the mills, and after they had the vast majority of the companies business, WalMart told them how much they would pay for their goods. There are now 100's of empty factories in this area, thanks to WalMart, and free trade with 3rd world countries that pay pennies an hour.

This is free enterprise and capitalism. You should not have a bad thought toward a corporation and their desire for a profit.:biggrin_25510:

Walmart represents the cancer stage of capitalism. Like when one cell tries to get all the blood, and the other cells die.

I added to my post. Read the rest of the last sentence. The gooberment with free trade to third world countries, and corporations that want a total monopoly, are not what this country was all about in the beginning. WalMart is a predator.

I know every company would like to be a monopoly, but being one is not good for the citizens, for once you gain monopoly status, you charge what you want, and control your suppliers, because they have no one else to sell to.

I don't go to WalMart unless there is no other choice anywhere. I will pay $4.00 for my potato chips, or do without, before going there.
