I can't believe this. All along I thought I was likely the only one here that despised mallwart, and the unthinking useful idiots that promote them. Crap, all I usually hear is, "Duh, yup, I got it at mallwart".
Seems good to see others that feel the same.
    mallwart, last resort ONLY!!:biggrin_25510:

That and about every other thing that we always never knew we wanted til' we saw it at Wal-Mart. Not saying that Wal-Mart is bad or good, but I sense things will be changing for truckers who drive for shippers to Wal-Mart DC's.
Regardless of what you think of Wal-Mart or anyone else for that matter, this could set a new precedent for others to follow, i.e. Target, Kroger, Costco...
Simply saying "I won't shop at Wal-Mart" or "I wont drive for Wal-Mart" wont do a lot of good. They hold a lot of sway in the market whether you do business with them or not.

You know, I drive for SNI, do I like hauling mallwart garbage? NO WAY! I just about cringe everytime I've got a mallwart load ,having to jump through their anal retentive hoops, and their load of sh&( paper they think is high value.:biggrin_25510:

I swear, every time I get off their precious property, I feel the need for a shower.

If you noticed the past year alot of other companies have been pulling Walmart trailers. Who is that Great Wide company that popped up out of nowhere? Seems like they are O/O's with run down trucks. Probably driving for pennies.

I'm not sure if this would be good or bad. I can see prices rising in the store if they manage to pull this off.

One can't help but think the Evil-Marx bubble will bust at some point. Sure people like getting cheap junk cheap, but if they keep alienating their customer base thru underhanded business tactics.. well then it's only gonna be illegal aliens shopping there.

I hear it all the time, there's a growing mass of people who hate Evil-Marx and everything it stands for. It's like chain restaurants, people can go to a GD Shoney's in FL or a GD Shoney's in Nashville and it's pretty much the same. Same reason with Evil-Marx. All the Snowbirds LOVE Wal-marts. People are too scared to venture out and try something new.

You are correct! Even my hometown which only has 75K or so, has forced all the small companies to close.

When you see the local "Quik mart owner" (made PC for the board), in there buying cartfuls of TP and Ramen noodles- well it's a sign of the times.
