4-wheelers are not held to the same standard that we are. Why? I don't know, I have seen some SH###Y drivers. LOL
This is why you DON'T drive when tired!

"...and while I've got my head out here, gimme a double-cheeseburger and a diet Coke!".
Ex and I had a cabbie drive us to the Raleigh-Durham airport back in '86...this guy could NOT keep his eyes open. Luckily, I saw his eyes in the rear-view mirror and struck up a conversation with him to keep us alive. -
True story:
I was about 22 years old, divorced, paying out the butt and broke most of the time. Started pushing a hack in Denver part time to supplement my regular income.
One night, ending my 10 hour shift in cab, after 8 hours in the delivery van, I actually fell asleep standing at the gas pump, fueling the old Checker. I parked that thing and crawled into the back seat of my own car for several hours of sleep . . . -
Big Don Thanks this.

He was quite compfy! Bet he's awake afterwards!
That's one reason I quit 3rd shift linehaul. I had a few moments like that when my thyroid quit working. It makes you fatigued all the time until you get on the meds. Scary when you know you are approaching an exit and wake up after it! I would take a short nap no matter how much my boss didn't like it. I don't let myself get that far anymore with controlled naps. -

Too many people underestimate the results of a lack of sleep on their driving.
Just had a guy get fired at my job for causing an accident after he fell asleep at the wheel. Seems that he had already fallen asleep twice earlier that day causing him to run a red light once, and keep sitting at a green the other. This was all during a three-ish hour run.
Took out five vehicles and a tree, but was unaware about four (or maybe three? I can't remember) until our supervisor walked him behind his bus to show them to him.
Seems that he has some sort of sleep disorder and somehow conned the doctor, who knew he had this condition, to approve his physical. -
and do not even start on the retired persons driving the 40 foot motor homes pulling a car or trailer, and having strokes or heart attacks and still being able to get in the vehicle in Florida and drive to Arizona or California in one shot.59Panhead, Big Don and truckerdave1970 Thank this. -
