The TND 700 is on the newest version. Some features did not make it like total mileage for multi-stop trips. But, I think version 1573 is a solid version.

Will issues be found? Of course. Can or have they been corrected. Yes and Yes.

If they are willing to pay for it then I would go with the 7". Larger screen to see the maps.

Good luck in your new adventure.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Has anybody gotten close to 300 saved addresses in your address book?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Hi Mark and thanks for all the help you are offering. I've looked through this thread and could only find one ref to waypoints. At times my company wants me to take exact routes, or as close as possible.

Can you explain how I can enter waypoints if I start at my gps position (Point A) ending my route at my customer (Point B)

I seem to be able to route part of the way using the 'Via' button, but as my route grows, the GPS seems to want to redo my route.

In short, how can I just point at road intersections and have the gps follow point by point? Thanks.

PS My head is on my desk, please tell me I can do this! Thanks.

I am taking it you have a TND 700? The following is on version 1573.

If you look under choose destinations\new locations, you will see to the far right - intersections. You can find an intersection and add it as a VIA point. But, be sure to route to your destination first, then add your VIA points...

Then under Choose Destinations\multi-stop trips you will see a "current trip" folder. Use this folder to move your locations around, add or delete locations. This folder "current Trip" is like a "one-time" shot. As you get to each location, that location drops out of the "current trip" folder.

If you have the same route, then save the trip to include any VIA points in a "new trip" folder. Then once you start the trip use the "current trip" The New Trip you created and saved will not be affected.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Perfect. Thanks so much Mark. BTW In Atlanta, trying to intersect I-85 with the 285 is not easy, I still can't do it. Intersecting I-75 with the 285 is easy, any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I tried Atlanta and Metro Atlanta as the cities. And yes I have the RND 700.

    again thanks Mark

The 1/4 to half mile delay on the TND 500 seems to be happening more often than ever. Is this issue being worked on for the next version?

This issue RM has been working on. It is more firmware related in most cases. RM is trying several firmware updates to correct this issue in the testing stages still.

If your lagging is unbearable, meaning it is constantly lagging then contact me via E-Mail. We can try several options.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Good catch. I could not find it either...What I did was find the city center - Atlanta, then on the bottom hit the "go to Map" (instead of routing to it - Begin route), I zoomed out and moved the map to the intersection of I-285 and I-85, then set it as a Via or route to it.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Yep this can work and I can save the location myself for future reference.
    Again thanks Mark

I suspect that the Intersection is actually falling under a different city in Atlanta, even though if I set this intersection as "Origin", it shows Atlanta, GA. I passed this on up to RM to look at.

    Thanks,
    Mark
