I do that #### all the time, coming out of florida one morning i had a guy pull beside me in a minivan with his family all passed out, he gave me the sign to blast em with the horns and when they all jumped up he gave me the thumbs up and went on his way hahaha. Ive lived off of 295 in nj just north of the t/a in paulsboro for 21yrs the sound wall which is worthless is in my backyard and if im not hearing jakes and trucks all night i cant sleep lol. keep running the jakes i love em.

Some people are just wusses when it comes to noise. I used to live a block from the R/R track, I couldn't sleep for the first few weeks, then I never heard a train again.

me too, about 500 feet away though. I'd even sleep through fatal train-car collisions...

Try it 15 feet from the track. I don't even notice them anymore.

Of course they blow the horns like there is a herd of cattle on the tracks. LMAO:biggrin_25523:

Golfers know how to read? You learn something new every day.

As for noisy apartments, my in-laws live about 40' from an El-train in NY, I've dated my wife for over 10 years, and spent many a night over there.

    What subway?

You know you gotta laugh at some of the comments in here any wonder us truck drivers get a bad rap when we show no consideration to others undue noise is an unnessessary thing and unwelcome fulstop regardless of how it might effect you remember the golden rule what goes around comes around.

Me and my family used to live so close to the train tracks our whole trailer would shake when a train passed by. When I finally moved to the city my neighbor's car exploded one night. I didn't find out until the next day when I was walking to school and noticed his siding was melted, the tree was burned and the concrete was leveled about 2 inches. I slept through the explosion, and the sirens.

Ok I do not qualify as general public as I am a driver also but didn't know where else to put this. I live in a very small quiet community and it is totally beyond me why so many weiner dicks feel the need to ramble their jake brakes as they come down the main stretch here. So basically this only applies to the few ######### that do not know any better.........IT IS TOTALLY RUDE TO JAKE THROUGH RESIDENTIAL AREAS! So if you are one of these ######### please stop it as it is totally unnecessary and annoying!
