I don't have the slightest idea what he did wrong - so who did you PO around there? BTW, jtrnr1951, aren't we supposed to be playing "nice" here? After all, I don't get to call notarps names.
Were all of your loads around that rate? Fuel cost on that load was something like 38 cpm - that ain't good. Neither are those deadhead miles. The overall rate is around 72 cpm - what the heck were you pulling on that load, and who was your FM? No wonder you aren't making any money - I can understand why you're upset. If there was anything left over, it went to fixed costs. Glad you got out before it ate you alive - good move in my book.
It doesn't surprise me that you didn't get much satisfaction from "Mr. L" - he's got a reputation about that. Sorry man. Hope OOIDA can help you with the DAC - that was uncalled for.
Prime, never been insulted by employer before.

Here's the word game they play. You'll pull loads that will pay avg linehual of 1.41 per mile with loads paying 4-5.00 per mile going to canada. ok, what they dont explain and continue to play games with is this. no matter what your guarenteed a mine of .95cpm. so, if you have a load that pays 1.41 per mile and goes 1300 miles sounds good right, wrong, because now you have almost 500 miles deadhead on top that now drops you down. so if it drops down below .95cpm they say they will guarentee your paid no less then .95cpm, but the catch is this, if the linehual didnt pay .95cpm they bumped or pitched in to bring it there, but if the deadhead dropped you below it, to bad. so on that one load, it paid 1100 to go 1360 miles, thats .80cpm, so prime put in the .15 cents to make it .95 cpm. now I had 283 deadhead miles, so now its 1634 miles, but its household movers miles, true miles is 1823. so the load realy paid me before fuel, .67 cpm before they pitch in, once they did its .79cpm with the deadhead. but with word games, your not catching that your eatting up the say $1.41 pm on the deadhead. now, on a canada run, you run 300 miles to pu load, you now run 500 miles loaded, then deadhead again another 500 miles to get a load back in the states that pays .65cpm and goes 1300 miles. that canada load, paid $4.00pm loaded. Now, we also started noticing company trucks arriving for same del time as us, get mt after us and dispatched out way before us, but yet its first on board first out. also, on a load going from say cheyenne, wy to say dodge city, ks, company truck routed I-25 s to I-270 to I -70e to US83s to us50/400. now a lease trk, same except stay on I-70 to I-135s to wichita then jump on US54w to us400w. that 389 miles longer. they also would route a company truck off all tolls when possiable, not lease, and fuel stops. company goes one truck stop while your given the one down the road, hmmmm wonder why. now, power and fuel milage. I could climb pulls with 44,200 in the box with cruise on no problem, and stay good on mpg, but turn cruise off, couldnt climb a 4% grade in any higher a gear then 6th. so I said something when I got a pm done, they cut my power on the cruise to = that of being off the cruise. my mpg avg was 6.8-6.9 but usually ran 7.0+ on every trip. now if I ran slower then 64 my mpg dived, as long as i ran 64 mpg was always strong and good. Like I said, if I learned anything out of this, if you must do a lease, never do with a company your leaseing onto. now heres the other deal, we are paid 72% of the load billed to the customer, Prime gets 28%, with min per milage pay of .95cpm right, but not one, not one of my statements shows what the customer was billed at, thats required by law when paid percentage, and when you ask, they wont tell you what they billed the customer, so you have to go one what they say is the truth.

Typical. Company driver's aren't treated much different. They tried to talk into leasing but I said to hell with that because I don't have a lollipop tattooed on my forehead. I know several guy's that I still talk to that left and went else where because they were getting screwed. Still dumb for leasing no matter where they go but are doing a lot better and making some money. It's funny how you can do thing's by the book and to the "T" but still end up in the negitive because they'll find anyway they can to pocket that penny you made for youself. I'm to the point now where I take back everything I did have nice to say about Prime even though I hated it. I hope they fold up and Mr. Lowe get's the short end of the stick meaning what comes around goes around. I have another friend that is an instructor there but he said it won't be to much longer and he's gonna bail before he loose's everything. I don't blame him a bit.

All the stuff in these posts makes no sense at all. I work for Prime and I'm all for keeping poeple from leasing here but putting out a bunch of bogus info ain't gonna do it.
Nobody here is paying $20 a week for EZ pass, $16 for prepass, getting told which route to run or where to buy fuel. Everybody gets a copy of the freight bills with the settlement every week, or you can just go to the website pull them up for every load you ever did. Average 400 mi deadhead for every trip? Who's gonna believe that? There's no forced dispatch, why would anybody take even 1 load like that, much less every one. Nobody is that gullible.bobbybaldwin Thanks this. -
yep, all us lease drivers that were at Prime are lieing. You FM's book great loads on us and we make good money. Every post on this site and any other is all lies. thats why Primes been sued and lost just about every single one of them, and they are #1 on OOIDA and DOT's worst company list. Thats why Prime just lost another law suit over firing a lease driver/ trainer for refuseing to chain up in a blizzard and drive over Donners Pass when it was closed and DOT said NO! Yep, its all lies, every bit of it, none of its belivable, and I never ever got a copy of any frieght bills with my settlements and my settlements only showed what I was paid, not what was billed. They also show what I paid for Pre Pass and how many green lights and that I was billed a $1 for each green light, it also shows I was Billed every week $20 for the ezpass plus any tolls i ran plus intrest on every dollar owed prime. I went in with over $1000 in my pocket, I left -$2000 in the hole to them and never saw 1 pay check to the positive from day one, and no, I didnt bill a ton of stuff to the truck in the begining or at any time. -
