This post should be read by any O/O or LEASE wannabe.
I could not have said it better. Oh, and I own a 2001 Western Star with 1.8Mil on it running regional flatbed with money in my bank.:yes2557: just 9 drivers in the company and they never advertise.

    TallMan Thanks this.

Just admit it you never worked for dart. Because if you did you would know they have company drivers. They were called allpoints and now dartco. you don't have a clue do you. As for changing the contract you don't have to sine it. YOU ARE A FREE PERSON try and keep that in mind. Did dart take you to raise? Should they have to pay all you living and trucking expenses? If you think so you need to go to your local welfare office and get on the list. It's called running a business not driving a fleet truck. If you can't think on your feet go get a union job and stop crying. even a puppy stops crying after 6 months.
AS I HAVE SAID I HAVE NOT BEEN LEASED TO DART FOR OVER A YEAR.
NOW GO HAVE A GOOD CRY.

:biggrin_25514: I bow to you wisdom.

BUY a good old truck, shop manuals, and a complete tool kit. Last month I changed out my drive hubs to put on a set of super singles I had saved from my last truck.
1175.00 in parts vs 3000.00 for 8 new drives. the singles had 75% tread left, the old 24.5s were 10 to 11yrs old. So for some time and work I have good rubber for the next two years at least.:biggrin_255:

Very true. Leasing from a company is like shooting yourself in the foot. You are already behind the 8 ball.

    Beechvtail and Dryver Thank this.

Very true, if you can't come up with a way of getting your own truck without the company that dispatches you being involved then wait until you can.

But I CAN'T WAIT! The little book in the truckstop told me I can make over a hunnert grand a year!!! All I need is a small down payment, and they'll lease me a 2002 FLD with just over a million miles on it!!! Man, with that first big check, I'm gonna chrome it out, twin 8" straights, tinted windows, flames, polished wheels..........
    Now wheres that phone number?:biggrin_25515:

    Too Funny!!!

This reminds me of the "Fast and the Furious Movement" most suburban white kids were doing about 5 to 10 years ago. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker seemed to inspire every suburban white kid from the age of 14 to 27 into thinking their Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla was a race car.

So Junior gets himself a drivers license at age 16, a job at Mc Donald's, a 1993 Honda Civic hatchback with about 96 HP and an automatic transmission. He saves up those big pay checks and turns that Civic into a real head turner fo' sho' bro. This becomes his life motto till the age of 28, Until his parents finally kick him out of the basement:

"Bright bluish fog lights and big yellow Stickers
Turn up the volume my headlights will flicker

I think I look cool from the attention I bring...

Scraping the speed bumps from cutting my springs.

Large yellow shift lights on auto transmissions,

Speakers so loud that you'll scream in submission

My car really flies 'cause it has this big wing...

But nothing compares to me cutting my springs.

When the bull stops, when the money talks, when I might lose face...

I suddenly remember what my car can't do And then I refuse to race!

Day-glow orange shift knobs and whiteface temp gauges

Low profile tires make me think I'm courageous

Japanese characters, who knows what they mean?

They're part of the package from cutting my springs.

Coffee can mufflers and Calvin is peeing

People around me don't like what they're seeing

They're all just so jealous, for I am the king...

I rule the street after cutting my springs!

When the night falls, when the girls leave, while I wait and wait...

If I'm such a stud after cutting my springs Why can't I get a date?"

Now all he needs is a few 2Pac and biggie cd's to blast from those cheap sony speakers from Kmart, and hope for that approving nod from a brother. That way he can claim black power to compliment the rice in his veins!!!

The only difference between a Dart driver and this confused teenage boy is the teenage kid is home every night, And he has mommy and daddy to bail him out. The paychecks are pretty much the same.
