i can tell you that a 10 foot spread on a reefer with a 30 inch pin makes the spread useless, especially on any thing bigger than a 48'. i would get a 11 foot spread if i was buying a 48-50 foot and a 12 foot spread on any trailer longer. i belive i would do a 24" pin on a new trailer also. i hate to ask why some would load you 40k in 40 foot. i know they would single me two out or they wouldnt load my trailer. to answer your question a spread wouldnt benifit you with the way that load is loaded. i am not sure that it would even scale. i know it wouldnt on my trailer.

How do you figure? It can still have 20k lbs per axle, I wouldn't call that useless. Wouldn't a 12' spread with the rear axle far enough forward to be 48state legal have the front axle too far forward to comply with the inner bridge law in some states? Not to mention the further increase in turning radius. I don't know that I've ever see a 12' spread..

cuz 40k in the first 40ft will make yolu heavy on the drives and light on the trailer. If a guy wanted to do this 40k in only 40ft, it would scale if ya used the rear 40 ft of trailer, though I dont know why anyone would do it. But it would scale out

I know in Mi you can't have any air controls in the cab for your extra axles but don't remember anything about the electric dumps.
