Anytime addresses are missing, wrong side, wrong location, etc; RM verifies to see if they are in the current mapping database (NaviMaps) and if they are they will verify or correct them.
When RM corrects addresses, truck specfic restrictions, etc... they correct them in the Mapping Database, but understand this is not the same Mapping Database that is use on your TND. They are updating the next release of the Mapping Database.
When the TND Dock does updating it is only updating versions, POI's, Global POI ratings, and construction updates.
So if you submit a correction and you do an update on the TND Dock and the correction does not show up this is the reason why. You do not need to submit a Tell Rand to let them know that the correction is still not there.
Thanks,
Mark

If you cannot route to Ceder Rapids, IA or Indianapolis, IN or to locations in AZ or NM let me know.
I am not looking for missing addresses, I would like to know if your TND cannot route to any location\state listed above, usually "city center" just for the above locations\states works fine for trying to route.
Thanks,
Mark -
Mine just routed me off into the neighborhood in Ft Scott, KS to get to a place that was right on the main route through town. It routed me up 3rd street, which has a low bridge on it, which is also marked higher than it really is. Now I need a set of stacks.

Totally Frustrated (I'm trying to be polite!)
Just got home from a two day road trip... my TND500 had been working "normally". I turned the unit on as I was walking up the stairs to go to my 2nd floor study and perform the 1573 update and ###### if the screen doesn't read "Insert SD Card". My TND500 is a T5C that does not require a SD card! Same thing happens after powering in off and on and after a reset. Plugged in into my pc... unit says "connected" and the pc recognizes it as an external drive, but the drive, file and folder names are all garble... not even English characters.
Called Rand McNally support... surprisingly there was no hold time. Explained the symptoms... without hesitation, the tech told me the unit would have to be replaced. I guess that's the good news... I'll get a new TND500 (wonder if it will have the 1573 software on it?). Bad news is that I will have to wait to get a return label in the mail from Rand McNally and send my unit back before they will send out the replacement! I was told I should have the return label in about 3 days and if I send it back the same day, I should have my replacement unit in about 10 days! That's 10 days their time. Realistically, I will be without a working GPS for about 2 to 3 weeks!
Great job Rand McNally!!! -
I figured out what it was. Some idiot, probably the same #### one, put a restriction flag for a single block on the street that trucks are supposed to turn in on. Someone over there at navtech needs their head kicked in cause from what I see the little #### is doing it on purpose.

The TND 500 has a port on it for an external antenna. I would like to know where i may buy one at so that i can mount mine on the dash (instead of window). And then just run the antenna up onto the dash. I hate having stuff in my windows. Please advise.
