3 times. Two in Ohio for 65 back when it was 55 and once recently after loosing the lights on my back box as he was following me - go figure. No ticket for the lights though since he saw them go out. Sprayed the pigtail with glass cleaner and away I went.

When someone tells you that you can run 62 in CA without getting a ticket, they may not be telling the truth. North and East of Barstow CHP has told us we could run 65 and they would leave us alone, turns out thats just the one CHp's opinion..... Becareful, theres wabbits in dim woods...
1.Glendale 210 # Angeles Crest stood up kind of stretching ($185.00),
2.Long Beach 605 65>55 ($285.00),
3.Pasadena 210 63>55 ($285.00),
4.Mojave 58 72>55 (285.00),
5.Barstow 58e to 15n #1 lane out of 3 lanes(Dismissed with 1.25 miles of transission),
6.Barstow 40e 61>55 (Several IWX trucks running together cop could not identify drivers in court judge dismissed, IWX Atty),
7.Baker # Cima Rd 15s 62>55($295.00),
8.Ludlow 40e 74>55($295.00)
9.118w # 23 lane #2 of 3 not posted (judge did not care)(Won on appeal),
10.I10e # 57 speeding as estimated from log book entry (simply took a mapbook to court to show distance Dismissed).

Powder Joints L.A. is one of the three areas CHP watches closely. The San Jose/ San Francisco and Sacramento/Stockton areas are the other two areas. The rest of Cali it depends on the mood and seniority of the CHP working in the area. BTW I have pulled over twice and just given a warning. Once in Or. and the other in N.M.

On the second I agree with you on the certain areas, I have lived here in CA 58 years. But there is not necessarily one area here, You have to pay attention all the time. I received a couple of the tickets while on the phone in the middle of nowhere light traffic earliy in the am. Ludlow and Baker so you just never know when they are going to crack down.
Bottom line if you can't pay the fine, pay attention..... -

I get pulled over at every scale.....
last one a written warning for a missing sign in rear 108.7 feet long.
I had a sign for the front mounted but did not find second sign in truck til scale.
Don't you love slip seating? -
Been pulled over twice, once in Ohio heading towards Napoleon - 55 / 45 Didnt see the sign until I noticed the cop and the tiny little town. Gave me a warning. An the other was in Iowa on I-35, had a container on and got stopped by a dot cop just because he wanted to check my papers over and check that the pins were secure on the container.

I'm not into higher mathamatics, sorry but it's at least 20+ since 1973 when my first drivers license was awarded to me by the US Army! My first bike I bought on Okiwania with their version of a military visitor lisence! My first drivers license I got state side actually had an m on it the same day!
I have out of all those tickets most for lead footin it all over only _ in DOT type tickets! 1 for 1" to long at Banning 1 OOS due to a broken floor joist in In, thanks to a teamster hitting on that sexy blonde lady that worked the Richmond WB scales. He also got an OOS when I told the DOT officer about the flat tire on his trailer which of course both he and his swap got paid hours for having to wait for a tire to be replaced.
Then there were 2 HAZMAT violations at the Vill Rica scales in GA both written by a guy who had no clue and were beaten in court! HazMat rules can even confuse the best of them!
Those are the ones that affected the truck but it's those whiteners in the 55's that got me! NEVER got one in a construction zone, just out on the not so open road!
