Going to Springfield, MO in 2 weeks. I'm excitied to go. I have looked at many different companies and for someone with no CDL this seems to be the right place to go. I can't wait for the simulator.

 

I wish someone would tell me what good or great money is. I have no figures to compare by. Of course no one would tell the truth.

 

LittleTrucker - How long did you have to wait to hear back from the recruiter regarding your application? I put mine in a week ago. I have called and left a voicemail and sent an email to her. Still nothing yet. Not impatient, just curious. Thanks. Maybe if things get going..... I'll see you there.

 

Hey Sazook....... You still never got back to me about being my trainer once I got my CDL. LOL!!!!! Just giving you a hard time. Hopefully all is well in your neck of the woods......

What?!?! I musta missed something. lol. When are you going to be getting your CDL? The timing probably wouldn't work, I'm going on vacation with my family in the middle of July, but if it would work, I'm always open to a competent trainee!

 

Well I hope your vacation goes well....... besides who knows when I'll get my CDL. I am still awaiting word from my recruiter..... It has only been a week. No worries.... I am sure everything will check out. I guess it all depends on when I can get into Orientation.

Not to worry though about training me if you are on vacation. Just would be nice if I could get a decent trainer and def a good FM. I heard that is what makes or breaks you.

 

Mav I put my app in on Wednesday, faxed over my tax papers on Thursday, and everything was on a go yesterday. So it was almost a week from the time I put my app in. I would call to check on it but I wouldn't leave voicemail maeesages. I would just call back 30 minutes later. You can talk to anyone there not just the person you first talked to. They can look up your app and tell you what is going on with it.

 

I also found out if you have been unemployed with in the last 3 years (which I have been) they want to see tax papers. I asked what that was all about and it's to prove you just weren't sitting in jail somewhere. Makes since now. Of course I have nothing to worry about there obviously or I wouldn't be going out there.

 

Keep getting the run around about the app.....Left a voicemail with recruiter again.....then followed your advice and was transferred to another recruiter, then to Don, then back to my original recruiter. On hold on the phone now. Seems like nothing has been done in a week. Craziness I tell ya..... holding.....holding.....20 mins later.... here's the status......The recruiter will see what she can get done today..... she has my voicemail and will call me back at a later time...... Hmmmmmmm

 

Calm down. Your experience isn't unique when it comes to the recruitment dept.

They do a background check and they have to call your former employers for verification.

They have a full plate.

I waited 10 business days for an ok because one of my previous jobs forgot to fax the form Prime sent them.

They do a preliminary bkgnd check, and by the time you arrive for orientation they have the "heavy duty" thorough check completed.(DMV, Court, etc)
